Nigerian right winger, Samuel Chukwueze, transferred to AC Milan from Villarreal in July 2023 for a reported fee of around €20 million. In his final season at Villarreal, Chukwueze made 50 appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists, totalling 24 goal contributions. However, his first season at Milan was less impressive, with limited game time resulting in just one goal in 20 league appearances. Despite this, he has shown a resurgence in form during the preseason, assisting twice in a victory over Premier League champions in Manchester City and scoring against Real Madrid to secure a win against the current La Liga champions.

Chukwueze’s performances have caught the eye of Everton, a club that has struggled with relegation battles in the last two seasons. According to the Spanish outlet Fichajes, Chukwueze could be close to a Premier League move for a fee ranging from €45 to €50 million, which Milan would be willing to accept.
In their quest to strengthen their squad and climb the Premier League table, Sean Dyche’s Everton see Samuel Chukwueze as an ideal addition. They believe his ability to play as a right winger and centrally in the attack offers the Toffees the versatility needed to compete at the highest level. His pace and dribbling skills also make him a formidable presence, with some still considering him better than Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka despite his recent numbers.

The seven-time UEFA Champions League winner, AC Milan, is in a strong negotiating position and is not in a rush to sell. Given the significant rise in Chukwueze’s market value since his arrival, a sale would be highly beneficial for the Italian club, allowing them to make a substantial profit and reinvest in acquiring more attacking options.
If this deal goes through, it could electrify the Premier League, with Chukwueze playing in his dream league alongside compatriots Ola Aina, Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, and Taiwo Awoniyi. The battle for the right-wing position will be intense if he continues his fine form. The question remains: Will Everton be bold enough to make this move?
